Who Left the Best Comments for Zoë?

Nov 20 2008

I asked Zoë to pay attention to who was being the most helpful during her two weeks because I wanted to recognize those individuals. Here’s what she had to say.

Zoë Says…

I hate choosing favorites, but the following three people were consistently active and engaging participants:

Alden Smith — Alden’s incisive comments were stimulating to read and respond to, and he never hesitated to challenge my ideas with new ones.

“Each of us do things that work for us. We may scoff at other people’s idea of how to accomplish things, but the bottom line is this – if you are getting things done, no matter how you get to them, then what you are doing is working. I firmly believe that we should never lock ourselves into anything that is against our nature or will. I also believe that it is very important for anyone with a creative mind to have a method of keeping track. Mind map, cocktail napkin, Hipster – it is all the same thing. it is how we approach it that matters.”

JenX67 – Jen generously shared utterly honest comments, lovely encouragement, and contagious enthusiasm.

“After nearly two decades of often abandoning my true self in pursuit (and maintenance) of a career, now, I guess I just want to take time to explore and become my most authentic self. In this regard, I suppose I want my blog to serve as my voice, which I feel has been self-censored for such an incredibly long time. I don’t mean that I want to be raw or unedited. I mean I don’t want to be bogus, boring or boastful.”

Alain Lemay – Alain made insightful connections between my abstract ideas and his own experience and knowledge, as well as the writing process.

“The beauty of creativity is that it always seeks new ways to express itself. From obscure cave paintings, we have moved to digital creations that can be shared with the world. We can only marvel at the possibilities that tomorrow holds.”

Chuck Says…

I was thrilled with the quality and level of participation on Zoë’s site. These three did a particularly exemplary job, and I wanted to recognize them for that.

In other news, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes to keep things moving forward. I owe thanks to many, and I’ll be giving that out in due time. Until then, just know that exciting things are on the horizon…
