When Our Connection Gets Interrupted

by Chuck Westbrook on October 30, 2008

Today I came across something terribly sad on a blog, and it’s something I’ve seen a few times. Someone has disappeared. In this case, a woman has gone missing, and her 18-year-old daughter logged on to the blog to plea for help.

When those we know only through our computer are in peril, there is a tremendous feeling of weakness and helplessness. If we are close with the person, it can be utterly jarring, at best.

Thoughts and prayers for Kathleen and for her family, and if anyone is in or around Anchorage, Alaska, please check the appropriate channels to see how you can help.
