Zoë has been great. You have been great as well, giving her 180 comments, dozens of new followers on Twitter, and plenty of good feedback in the forums. And from what I can see, the quality of what you’ve been saying has been very high.
Others Getting Love Too
I was pleasantly surprised to hear Kyle Steed tell me that he’s seen new people discovering his site just through being a participant in the group.
“Getting my name out there and now being a part of this new venture of yours, I am seeing more traffic already, at least in the sense of seeing more comments on each post. I love being a part of this creative blogging community.”
So I asked around a bit, and found that Elizabeth, Chris, Johnny, and others have seen comments from new people or noticeable traffic increases, too. (HolisticMama, however, laughingly said that hers has dropped, but I think we just fixed that.)
If you are willing to visit other participants’ blogs, connect with us on Twitter, and talk on the forums, it does lead to more support, more traffic, and more fun.
Becoming a Community
As you know, I’ve put up some forums for us to really get to know each other. Already, people are finding interesting new people, analyzing Zoë’s site, and getting their questions answered about their own blogs. Some of it has been pretty funny, too.
People are helping Zoë, but many people are helping each other, too, and finding good stuff in the process. There’s an opportunity here for you to make this an even better experience for yourself and for others.
If you’ve never used a message board or a forum, don’t worry about it. You just have to jump in. The water’s fine!
