Bidding Adieu to FeverBee

Dec 04 2008

As I did with Zoë of ‘Essential Prose‘, I wanted to check in with Rich Millington of FeverBee now that his time in our spotlight is over.  Here’s what he had to say about the experience.

Rich Says…

I never ceased to be amazed by the quantity (350 subscribers!) and quality of readers to my blog. This past fortnight has been incredible.

You gave me more constructive feedback in the past two weeks than I’ve had in the past 2 years. So I’m eternally thankful for that. I’m planning a bit of a redesign, I’m drafting out an eBook and developing more series-focused content. That’s an outcome of your feedback.

Hopefully my blog has offered an idea or two you can use to develop your own online community someday. Your enthusiasm for the topic, even from those without a specific interest in marketing, was truly staggering.

So thank you for all your help. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if there is anything I can do to help you.

Chuck’s asked me to highlight a few people who added the top value. That’s a tough call. I liked Grant and Ken Allan and Ken Stewart most – they challenged me. I liked Jen, le, Paul,Tawnya, and atweed for their support – and adding often new perspectives. Jodith and Ulla too.

Chuck says…

Rich had about 200 subscribers when we featured him, and nearly a week after we’ve moved on, his subscriber numbers are up to 350. That’s a 75% boost on an already healthy readership. I’m not sure it’s all because of being featured, but clearly it helped give him a bump. Well done!
